Frequently Asked Questions

Will TRAKX fit my vehicle?

TRAKX is designed with a universal fit system compatible with all standard passenger vehicles—cars, SUVs, and trucks with tire widths between 6.5" and 10.5" and wheel diameters up to 24 inches. If you're driving a factory-spec vehicle, you're covered.

How many straps do I need?

We recommend 5 straps per drive wheel for optimal traction coverage. For front-wheel or rear-wheel drive vehicles, one kit (10 straps) is sufficient. For all-wheel drive vehicles, we recommend two kits (20 straps total) for complete coverage.

Are they reusable?

Absolutely. TRAKX straps are built for multiple uses across multiple seasons. Simply release the buckle and remove after use. Store them in car and they're ready whenever you need them again.

How durable are they in extreme conditions?

TRAKX straps are engineered to perform in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 40°C (-4°F to 104°F). They're designed to handle the real-world demands of winter driving—from deep freeze to thaw cycles.

Will they damage my wheels or tires?

No. TRAKX straps are designed to grip the tire tread area and rim without contacting your brake components. When installed correctly, they provide traction without causing any damage to your vehicle.

How fast can I drive with TRAKX installed?

TRAKX straps are designed for controlled, low-speed driving to regain traction and navigate difficult terrain. They're meant to get you moving again and help you reach stable ground—not for highway speeds. Once you're back on solid pavement, simply remove them and continue your drive normally.
